Artfire, surpassing etsy?

So, I set up my artfire account months and months ago, but with recent changes on etsy, and a total drop off of sales, I am starting to actually promote my artfire.

With this promotion I am offering 10% off any order with the coupon code Blogspot, artfire is very easy to use and you dont even have to sign up for an account to make a purchase!

That said I want to share some very positive aspects that I have found with artfire.

Artfire offers coupon codes, which is great, on artfire you can promote your shop and offer a discount to blog readers, facebook fans, followers on twitter, etc.

They also allow you to set up codes for gift certificates, which I havnt done yet, but I am so excited to do. Now when I send in gift certificates for It's All In The Bag ( a handmade artisan promo site)I can use a different coupon code for each certificate. Making it easier to keep track, and again, a great way to promote your shop!

ArtFire - Buy Handmade - Sell Handmade

For the holidays all listings are free, even for basic non-paying accounts!!! You can list, sell, relist, whatever you want to do all for free, for the holidays! Check it out, see if you like it, and in the end if you love artfire, sign up for the verified account!

Right now the verified account is only $12 a month, no additional listing fees, no fees on the final sale price, just the $12 a month. It is a great deal!

Register on ArtFire.com

Artfire is now offering the ability to upload your entire etsy shop (up to 5 shops) in just a few clicks of your mouse. I uploaded all of my shops and it was super easy, and I am awful with computers.

The folks over at artfire answer questions, help you out, and do what they can in a very timely fashion. No waiting around for a month waiting for a response to a frantic email you send them!

You can make something just like the etsy minis, but folks who are interested in your items dont have to sign up to buy what they see! They can just click and buy!

Also artfire offers a kiosk specifically set up for your facebook, so people who are fans on facebook can buy right there, without even signing up! You can see my kiosk here!

Are you on artfire? Can you think of more things they are doing better than etsy? Please feel free to comment and let me us all know!

Nice post! How have your artfire sales been?

they have been slow so far, but no slower than etsy has been since they started screwing around with stuff
i used to have steady sales all the time on etsy, then it dropped off with whatever they did
i am willing to stick it out with artfire while it grows, because it is going to be huge!

I kind of looked into Artfire before and had a feeling to go with them, but I didn't because Etsy was so popular. But now, since I think I will use them too, especially since they have all the codes for discounts and stuff. Thanks for the info!
