Hiking Up A Storm, Pixley Falls In Upstate NY is gorgeous!

Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous outside, and we spontaneously decided to go hiking near Pixley Falls. I love when we make last minute decisions that result in a whole lot of fun!! We got there and of course headed right for the biggest waterfall

You could feel a nice cool mist from the falls as soon as you finished scaling down the hill, it was refreshing and beautiful. Jessi was off adventuring and splashing around, while I was taking my shoes off to go in, she found a really really big snake. The second biggest snake we have found this year, Hissop the snake was kind enough to pose for a photo shoot!

Jessi and sister Jen decided I just had to see the one waterfall that has a flat rock water slide, so we hiked on. (another main factor in hiking on past the big waterfall was some creepy dude showing up and starting to fish, so we threw some rocks in the water to scare the fish away and moved on). The natural water slide looked awesome, and i cant wait to get up there after it rains some more and try it out, tho my butt might be too big to fit between the rocks haha!!

After we got there I was regretting not bringing the dogs, they would have loved it. I was just concerned that there would be a ton of people and I would have to keep the dogs on leashes, but there wasnt, so we are going to have to make a day of it really soon!

Oh, wow, how beautiful! We're thinking about going to a state park here to see waterfalls, but it's a 5 to 6 hour drive. Not sure if we'll do it this week with everything going on. I'm glad you go out into a nice place. It can be so refreshing!

Beautiful pictures. Looks like a great place to spend the entire day. I would have sat with my feet dangling in the water and watched you two hike around :-)
